Black Note can't hold a candle to Real Tobacco Extracts. I tried a number of Black Note flavors and, though tasty, I found them to be very over-diluted and weak in flavor strength. Real Extracts on the other hand is full flavored and full strength. The retail price for both is about the same but Real Extracts is a better experience and they ship to me priority mail for no cost. They arrive usually in about 3 days.
I love the Real Extracts fruit tobacco blends as they are all natural, don't stink up the house and they satisfy my tobacco flavor demand like no other. These are the best naturally extracted tobaccos around to my experience - and I have tried many over the years.
I noticed that none of the negative responses to this post asking about RTE were from somebody that actually tried the products. It is too bad that trolls run the show on the site (reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/).
Real Tobacco Extract - It is a great product that is worth the price.
Try RTE, you won't be disappointed! I am a long time smoker, cigs and GOOD cigars. The time had come to quit. When I say I love tobacco, I mean I truly love good tobacco. From the Burley to the PA Oscuro and everything in between, Real Tobacco Extracts products have enabled me to quit completely and continue to enjoy great Tobacco flavor. Yes, any real tobacco extract will require regular coil changes and too much nicotine will mute the flavors and be a bit harsh but you will not find a better product or more customer focused company in your pursuit of Tobacco juices anywhere.
These are the best tobacco flavored e-liquids and extracts that I've tried and I've tried many. The others were less expensive but had a chemical aftertaste. Not these. The site has fast free shipping and is generous with samples. I've tried the tobacco, cigar, fruit, nut, tea and coffee. I prefer tobacco but they're all good. Highly recommended.
I only vape naturally extracted tobaccos. After trying extracts from several suppliers I have gradually come to the point where I no longer order juice from anyone but realextracts.com. Your taste buds may be different, but for me, these flavors are what I had been searching for since I stopped smoking cigarettes and high end cigars in April of 2013. I have been vaping their juice for a little over a year and have tried about 20 of the flavors. Cowboy is my usual all day vape. I am vaping Havana #2 right now, and it is so good it would make a brave man weep. There are only two negatives - I think the price is too high, and I have to rewick every 3 tanks, but most days I think the taste is worth the extra cost and effort.
I made my way through college working at Georgetown Tobacco (MD,DC, VA), back in the day where we had Senior Service, Balkan Sobranie, 555, Gold Flake, etc. Pipe smoker and love cigars, but sometimes I loved the flavor of these cigs. Being older I cannot inhale burning tobacco by choice and missed the "throat hit" and flavor of these amazing tobacco blends - I do love tobacco. I stumbled across the Real Tobacco Extract site last year as I tried vaping. I tried many "real" tobacco vaps, but I found none compared to this site's products. I will say now that I am a steady customer. The flavor is pretty amazing. I like to mix their Cowboy with their Old English 2:1 and I taste what is no longer available. I have found that this extract does require me to change my coils each day, but that is acceptable for the flavor that I am missing. I've tried all but this is what I come back to. They have cigar too, which I have tried, appreciated, and found pretty impressive, but I enjoy their cig tobacco blends tremendously.
I am chiming in a bit late - but I had to join in. I have been using RTE for almost a year (or is it more than a year?) Jasmine tea and Sumatra cigar are the only flavors I can always find in my tanks. I have went from Philip Rocke's Grand Reserve all the way to $10 120ml bottles, and back, RTA's teas and tobaccos are the only ones that I can't seem to find any vaper's tongue with. Yes, I am particular. Yes, I am nitpicky. I can vape dessert sometimes (in a TFV12), maybe some fruit here and there, but more often than not I come straight back to RTE. TBH a Kayfun 5 with a single coil and RTE is as efficient, functional and practical as it gets. I don't use dual coil with this juice because it is not cheap...
Ecuador from Real Tobacco Extracts -
After sitting for only a day or so I decided to give this a go today.
Very nice! This is a really full and rich tobacco extract. It's bold with a rich earthy front with hints of a peat like sweetness, think scotch & water. The retro hale reveals an essence of cocoa that is reminiscent of Perique but much more subtle. Occasional notes of black pepper are showing through the sinus.
This really reminds me of flavors that made me a fan of Nicaraguan puros. The ones that were exceptional after a good steak with a heavy pour of Bourbon or Cognac. I would have guessed this as a Nicaraguan extract rather than Ecuadorian had I not know the origin. Joya de Nicaragua are amazing cigars but if I smoked them early in the day they would kick my ass every time.
Anybody looking for a real tobacco?
submitted to ECF
I found this site (Real Extracts) looking for a tobacco vape that wasn't flavored with anything but tobacco. I've tried various extracts (which will blissfully remain unnamed) and wasn't really all that impressed. I bought a range of juices from this site not all that optimistic.
I got the shipment in a couple of days fired up his Virginia English blend and finally tasted what I've been missing since I started vaping 5 years ago. I also have been enjoying a Virginia/Burley blend. The juice is clean, no after smell, great throat hit, mouth feel, and finish. It isn't cheap, definitely not for cloud chasers, but if you folks have been missing a vape that I think comes really close to the Old Gold, Camel, Lucky Strikes like they were made in the pre '60's era they're worth your time.
So I want to start off by communicating that I don't think the english language is a very good one for relaying scent or taste, very limited in fact. This is why you can read entire paragraphs of buzzword laden juice reviews / descriptions and be left scratching your head. The word "premium" comes to mind as one example of such a buzzword (whats premium taste like anyway?) .
With that in mind I'll attempt to give a fair shakedown of this line of NET's upfront, and then follow it with some semblance of a characterization.
So first overall : I did not go into this expecting real great things, thats not to say I went in expecting the opposite (poor quality juice) not at all, Its just after tasting everything on the ECF "A list" of companies as far as NET's as well as some of the B list stuff and having extracted just silly amounts of my own I've tasted it before.
I was pleasantly surprised!
So with real tobacco extract they shy away from casings / sweeteners and other additives that are already present in lots of "processed" leaf. These extracts are made from "unprocessed" (unadulterated) leaf only.
Why did I go into this flavor sampling not expecting much? well , I played with leaf only extracts a bit myself and found these extracts to be more akin to "enhancers" than something to base an entire blend on.
In my hubris I closed myself off to a world of flavor.
English classic (Bright Yellow Virginia) : Captures the sweetness of virginia without any cloying (over the top) sugariness. Crisp. This tastes how dunhill "light flake" smells (and I extracted dunhill light flake and it becomes cloying because of the casings so thats a point in RTE's favor!)
Not a cigalike but an easy all day vape.
Cowboy (Virginia & Burley ) : Subtle overall but IMO unbalanced, then again I was more of a camel man when I did smoke cigarettes. Dry. Not an all day vape for me but I can think of a lot of people who would want just this. A good nightcap i'd say. Almost a hint of "wheat" , so again not a ciga-like as far as I'm concerned NET wise but it hits those grassy notes that are missing from extracts using casing laden pipe tobacco.
Cognac Burley Tobacco : What I will say is that I personally have great difficulty deriving executable flavor from aromatics involving liquor flavors (I presume they added in the cognac after the fact on top of leaf only Burley) BUT this was a masterfully done blend by the company.
Black Prince : Full disclosure - I am not a Perique fan - its acceptable when its truly used as a "spice" just a hint, this one was burley base and Perique forward. Its done well not overly rich but the Periques right their to be tasted. The current offering states "Burley leaf with a touch of Turkish with a Perique spike" so maybe I'm not the only one in the crowd with this taste.
Overall these folks are clearly tobacco connoisseurs and they make a fine product. This was a wake up call for my old burned out taste buds and this stuff is a pleasure to vape.
Real Tobacco Extract - A Great Natural Product
I smoked hand rolled fine tobacco for about 25 years and quit through vaping last August. I really found this reddit thread helpful, so I thought I would pass on something valuable to anyone new and stumbling around to find a high-quality eliquid. In fact, this is where I found Real Tobacco Extract when I was trying to find something good and natural to vape.
I cannot say enough good things about Real Tobacco Extract. I have been buying products from him (the owner and chemist) for about 6 months now and I have not been disappointed yet. The tobacco flavors are fantastic and natural - Cowboy and English are my favorites, and the teas are really mind blowing. But for me, the best line are the new fruit flavors. Black Cherry and Black Berry are my main vapes now - and so is the Banana (yes, Banana!) flavor. Evan even mixed them to my liking: 70/30 and 24 mgs of nicotine.
If you are new to vaping and want something natural and of exceptional quality from the start, I would recommend RTE without hesitation. It is really good.

After four different credit card processors terminated our Real Extracts accounts we have been forced to process credit cards off-site. Apparently, online credit card transactions for "tobacco related" have been tagged as "high risk", socially unacceptable or a threat to the political status quo.
When you are done click the "finish" button. You will land on another site to pay. I know this is a little wonky and may be alarming to some but it is the best solution we can come up with until we find something better. It is not a security issue. Your credit card will be processed by a secure verified cc processor. We thought this would be better than going to an off-shore processor we don't know or trust.
(You need to remember the dollar amount when you arrive at the payment page as it does not remember your order total)
